Today was excellent at Medicalodge, singing hymns and speaking of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Here we are.  You've never seen me at this weight before, about 49 pounds down in 2 years.

Remodeling the Temple

For many health reasons, it is necessary to lose weight, poundage, mass, and otherwise remodel the temple of God.  When reading secular books on the subject, they usually suggest making a list of motivational reasons, having to do with mirrors, self esteem, and the opinion of others.  I hate to blatantly appear more mature than most, but really, such reasons strike me as childish or adolescent.

I decided when I was 8 years old to remain large to take myself out of the running for "most sexually attractive", and thus save a lot of trouble.  My thinking refined over the years and I decided that if a man wanted to marry me he'd have to love me large.  Mr. P does.  Blessedly, he will also love me smaller, as we  will go for a healthier life.

Usually, Mr. P and I change our eating habits together, but at the moment he has other things going on and I'm doing this on my own, sort of.  Some of the following reasons are borrowed from The Beck Diet Solution Wright Loss Workbook by Judith S. Beck, PhD.  It's based on the system of Cognitive Therapy developed by her father, Aaron Beck.

REASONS TO LOSE WEIGHT:

God's temple will be healthier. It's a reasonable sacrifice.

My diabetes will be less severe.

My arthritis will be less severe.

If I need physical help, I won't be a fat, old person.

More physical stamina

Better blood pressure

Better cholesterol

More energy

More optimism

My stomach won't be the first thing greeting people.

I'll have accomplished something really difficult.

I'll feel in control.

Special

Some Special Friends Who Love the Lord and a Special Necklace from Friend Who Loves the Lord.(Who is Also a Special Friend.)

The top is Nolene, whom I have known my whole life from church.  Then comes Nadine and the man I call the Hall Saint, since I can never remember his name and he insists on taking in Sun. afternoon church from this love seat in the hall.  I would too if I could.  The area the rest of us sit in is too warm. Next is me at the local grocery showing off one of my lovely Christmas presents from Daffy, like those seen in her Etsy shop,
sweetheartstudio.  There she has many beautiful things.
My photography leaves much to be desired.  There is a lovely crystal to the lower right of the P.

Thanks for looking at my special people and necklace!
